The convertible variant of the Ferrari 812 Versione Speciale filtered by its sketches

On the same day that the new Ferrari 812 Versione Speciale was officially presented, apparently official sketches of the model arrived that showed the appearance of its still unpublished convertible variant, which, like the 812 VS coupe unveiled yesterday, still lacks an official name.

The Ferrari 812 Versione Speciale was presented yesterday with the publication of its first official images and a few specifications, since as the company warned in its press release, the model will debut at an event that is going to be organized especially in Maranello next 5 May and in which all the data of this special limited edition will be revealed, including its name.

So we already know what the model is like and even the power of its renewed 6.5-liter atmospheric V12, which has 830 hp and is capable of stretching up to 9,500 rpm. But at the moment we still don't know what it's called.

Among the various details of this edition that we hope will be unveiled on May 5 is the confirmation of the rumors that the 812 Versione Speciale will be available with the two body variants of the Gran Turismo on which it is based, the Ferrari 812 Superfast coupe and the Ferrari 812 GTS convertible.

Leaked sketches

Although the company has not yet confirmed the existence of these bodywork variants of the future 812 Versione Speciale, at the same time that the Maranello firm revealed the first official images of the model, we received a series of sketches of this whose origin seems to be the own company and in which both body variants are clearly seen. So these seem to corroborate previous reports that pointed to the future 812 Versione Speciale convertible.

The sketches show us a model that has the same body modifications as the 812 VS that was unveiled yesterday but with a retractable roof and two huge square-shaped roll bars behind the cabin. So the only differences between the coupe variant and this new open variant will be the roof and the treatment of the upper area behind the cabin. At the moment we have to wait for May 5 for the company to confirm the future arrival of this convertible variant, of which at the moment we have not seen any prototype on the street. So it is also possible that the model will be presented later.
