Bentley Flying Spur will be equipped with a new V8 engine
The new Flying Spur will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with 550 horsepower. from. and a maximum torque of 770 Nm at a crankshaft speed of less than 2000 rpm, which is maintained up to 4500 rpm. The four-door V8 Gran Turismo accelerates to 100 km / h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 318 km / h. In addition, the developers have increased the range to 709 km as part of the new driving cycle standard (WLPT) and reduced CO2 emissions by 15% (compared to the model equipped with the W12 engine).
For maximum fuel economy, the V8 can shut off four of its eight cylinders under light load conditions, when the required torque is below 235 Nm and the engine speed is below 3000 rpm. This change is imperceptible to passengers - the shutdown time is about 20 milliseconds (a tenth of the time it takes to blink). As a result, the customer gets up to 16% fuel savings, which also means longer range, lower environmental impact and longer travel between refueling stops.
The Bentley Flying Spur V8 comes standard with Adaptive Air Suspension, Wheel Brake Torque Redistribution, Drive Dynamics Control and Electrically Adjustable Steering. Optional 48-volt active roll control (Bentley Dynamic Ride) and electronic all-wheel steering are available.
Now Russian buyers are offered a version with a 6-liter W12 engine with a twin turbocharger Twin-Turbo with a capacity of 635 hp. cost from 15.8 million rubles, and prices for the V8 version will start at 14 million rubles.
