First sketch of the future Audi Landjet 2025, a look at the replacement for the A8
It is the first sketch of the future Audi Landjet, the electric model that will debut in 2024 and that will become the final goodbye to the Audi A8. A new concept for the luxury saloon and representation, with a different design from its competitors, electric and with advanced autonomous driving.
A German newspaper has made the first sketch of what will be the new flagship, known as Audi Landjet, and it is not known whether it will respect the A8 name or opt for another. The sketch shows the silhouette, a marked Sportback style, with a long wheelbase and short overhangs, dispensing with the long front hood that is no longer necessary in electric cars, and a symbol of power and performance.
The Landjet will be based on the PPE platform for Premium electric cars, an architecture developed by Audi and Porsche, which will also be used by Bentley, and where the most notable quality will be the spacious interior. The drawing shows very interesting details, and which Marc Lichte has referred to, defining the successor to the A8 as "a revolutionary concept compared to its rivals." Hence, the reverse-opening rear doors that give way to a large interior, in which even the driver's seat can turn and dedicate itself to the passengers or recline and rest.

“We have found a way to implement a very elegant design language despite the large interior. Therefore, we do not have to change our viewing habits. An interior that opens up completely new perspectives, ”says Lichte. The chief designer has confirmed that the Landjet will feature advanced autonomous driving, ready for level 4, expressly noting that “this is a specific production car that we will build ourselves. A luxury vehicle for long-distance travel.
The Audi Landjet is part of the Artemis project led by the German brand, and comprises a new generation of electric cars, in which the most advanced technology will be the real novelty. A powerful software capable of controlling all functions, from propulsion to safety systems, assistants, autonomous driving, comfort equipment or infotainment.
Markus Duesmann, CEO of Audi, has also confirmed that the Landjet will make a giant leap in terms of battery, so a dizzying capacity is expected to offer more than 1,000 kilometers of autonomy on a single charge. The Landjet will be introduced in 2024, and it will go into production in 2025.
