The first McLaren P1 delivered to a customer to be auctioned

What a piece has appeared among the lots of one of the upcoming Silverstone Auctions auctions, nothing less than the first copy of the brutal McLaren P1 that was delivered to a client. This unit is in perfect condition, with very few kilometers of use and has one of its most attractive configurations, with the bodywork in the iconic Volcano Yellow.

The first customer-delivered copy of the McLaren P1 left the Woking factory at the end of 2013. That sports car included a unique present for its first owner, a letter of thanks signed by its own designer, Frank Stephenson, for being the first unit. that he was leaving the British factory for the garage of a client, who was precisely also in Great Britain. This unit is now up for sale among the lots at one of the upcoming Silverstone Auctions auction house events.

This is the magnificent example of Volcano Yellow with the interior in black Alcantara that stars in these images and is part of the next auction 'The May Sale 2021', an event organized by the aforementioned British company based in Silverstone and that is going to have place on May 22.

Only 375 copies of the McLaren P1 were assembled, making it one of the rarest and most exclusive supercars of its class that we can find on the market today. So if we add the circumstance that it is the first commercialized copy of the model, we are faced with an outstanding collector's item.

The specimen to be auctioned by Silverstone Auctions has the chassis number # 023 and is in perfect condition. So far it has only traveled 3,666 miles (5,900 kilometers) and its maintenance has been exquisite, because despite the little use, already in 2018 the battery of the hybrid system was replaced. Although it has not been revealed if it was due to a breakdown or simple maintenance.
